Erga Schiftan

Executive director of “Tzierey USA”, Agoura CA

     
 

Erga Schiftan, originally from Israel, is an experienced educator with expertise in teaching Judaism and Hebrew in the US and Israel. While living in Israel, she was the director of the Anglo Saxon Community Cultural Affairs and she currently teaches Judaism and Hebrew in a religious school in Agoura Hills, California.

In 2003, she produced, along with acclaimed Israeli actor Aki Avni, and Dalit and Ilan Hargil, a special project for Israeli children, victims of terror, by bringing them to Los Angeles for a month stay.

In 2005, she was the Artistic Director of A Tribute to Rabin, a special event for the 10th anniversary memorial of late Yitzhak Rabin, in collaboration with composer and Music Director Sharon Farber (www.sharonfarber.com). The evening was organized and supported by the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles and the CIC- Consulate of Israeli Community.

For the last 3 years, Mrs. Schiftan has been the Executive Director of “Tzeirey LA” Youth Group and she is currently the Executive Director of “Tzeirey USA”  in Agoura Hills, California.

Mrs. Schiftan has continued providing her services as an event promoter alongside her work as the Executive Director of “Tzeirey USA”. She has worked on such events as the acclaimed Israeli/International singer Achioam Nini concert and Keshet Chaim (Rainbow of Life) Dance Ensemble. She is currenlly the event promoter of the ensemble newest show, “Colors Of Israel”.

Mrs. Schiftan is married to Flamenco guitar player, Freddie Schiftan and has two sons.
